HMFIC send Troy Percival and Ben Sheets to the Port Washington Pirates in exchange for Manny Acosta, Moises Alou, Cha Seung Baek, Michael Barrett, Bartolo Colon, Jose Contreras, Noah Lowry, Greg Reynolds, Javier Vazquez, Ryan Zimmerman, and the Pirates' 14th round pick in the 2009 draft.
