South Georgia/Yankees trade

The South Georgia Steamers send Damaso Marte to the Yankees Suck in exchange for the Suck's 15th round pick in the 2009 draft.

Shatili/G-Town trade

The Shatili Highlanders send Lance Berkman, Josh Beckett, and BJ Ryan to the G-Town G-doggs in exchange for the G-doggs' first and third 2nd round and first 5th round picks in the 2009 draft (picks #26, #37, and #82 in the preliminary draft order). The preliminary draft order has been updated through this trade.

Shatili/South Georgia trade

The Shatili Highlanders send Justin Verlander to the South Georgia Steamers in exchange for the Steamers' 4th round pick in the 2009 draft.

Baton Rouge/Yankees trade

The Baton Rouge Big Boys send Roy Oswalt to the Yankees Suck in exchange for the Suck's 5th round pick in the 2009 draft.

Charleston/South Georgia trade

The Charleston Chew send Carlos Gomez, Geovany Soto, and Joey Votto to the South Georgia Steamers in exchange for Miguel Cabrera and the Steamers' 14th round pick in the 2009 draft.

Juneau/Yankees trade

The Juneau Whats send Jimmy Rollins and Danny Haren to the Yankees Suck in exchange for the Suck's second 1st and first 4th round picks in the 2009 draft.

2009 Preseason Information

This post will contain all of the important predraft information, so bookmark it and come back to visit it as needed. As a reminder, this year for the first time keeper eligibility follows the player, not the team. Any player on any roster that has special keeper eligibility can be kept by that team or traded to another team to be kept. If you have three good Reserve players, you might be able to trade one to another owner, who would be able to keep that player as a Reserve. Hopefully this change will open up preseason trading a bit and also help everyone take as strong a roster as possible into the draft.
